Clackamas' Effenberger inks with Cal State University Eastbay women's basketball
Clackamas sophomore Laci Effenberger signed a National Letter of Intent with the Cal State University East Bay Pioneers, earning herself a full scholarship for next season at East Bay. Effenberger helped lead the Cougars to a 22-7 record this past season, averaging 19 points, 6 assists, 4 rebounds and 3 steals per game.
She was selected to both First Team-All Southern Region and First Team-All NWAACC tournament teams for her efforts. Capping an already impressive sophomore regular season, Effenberger put together a record breaking Championship tournament effort with a 112 points scored over 4 games, most in NWAACC history, including a 42 point showcase against Skagit Valley on day 3 setting both a NWAACC tournament and Clackamas Community College single game record.
Along with her CCC single game scoring record, Effenberger also set the program's new mark in 3pt shots made with 112 on the season.
Effenberger will join a Cal State East Bay team that returns 11 rostered players, went 16-14 last season and qualified for their conference tournament. Effenberger is excited to step in and make an immediate impact for the Pioneers for the 2014-15 season.
