Sophomore guard Brandon Halter will move on to play for Oregon Tech next season.

Clackamas Cougar Brandon Halter has signed to play at OIT next season for hall of fame coach Danny Miles. Halter was a two time all-Southern Region performer and the 2015 Southern Region Player of the Year.

This season, he was the heart and soul of a balanced offensive attack for Clackamas as he averaged 16.3 points per game, 1.1 steals per game, 5.3 rebounds per game, and 2.4 assists per game. He hit 37% of threes this year on 222 attempts. Definitely one of the best long-range scorers in the NWAC for his career (8th in makes in NWAC this season.)

Head coach Clif Wegner had this to say about the CCC star: “Brandon had a great career and a lot of great moments here. He was a great competitor with an old school work ethic that always wanted the challenge of a key defensive assignment as well. He was a player who gave his all every game and was always leading the battle for rebounds at both ends as well. He will be be hard to replace.”

Halter was the impetus of back-to-back Southern Region championship teams for the Cougars. A leader on and off the floor, he will seek to mesh his championship attitude with OIT’s championship tradition.
