Weekend Tournament Recap & All-Tourney Teams

Red Devil Classic
LONGVIEW— For the third time in Red Devil Classic history, Spokane would roll through all three games, winning by an average margin of 22 points with a championship victory over Everett 104-85 who finished second last year to Lower Columbia. Spokane was lead by Levi Taylor with a 40 point effort off the bench to secure the second half and the tournament after being down three at half. In the other two Sunday games, it was SW Oregon defeated Yakima Valley 73 to 64 and Lower Columbia would topple Mt. Hood 71 to 54 to place third.

Pierce Thanksgiving Invitational
LAKEWOOD— Whatcom would emerge victorious over Green River in a hard fought tournament that featured several standouts. Jordan Johnson would lead the Orcas to a 74 to 60 victory over Green River in the championship. In the Sunday morning games, it was Columbia Basin over Bellevue by three points- 66-63 and Shoreline would handle host team Pierce 86-61.

Clackamas Thanksgiving Invitational
Oregon City, OR — Returning powerhouse Umpqua bested formitable host Clackamas in the championship game 76 to 65 lead by early South MVP candidate Sawyer Kluge who scored 22 in the final game. In the earlier Sunday games, Pacific University JV's beat Olympic 89-81 and Mt. Hood won 84-80 over SW Oregon.

Skagit Valley Turkey Tournament
MOUNT VERNON— In a tournament that featured international competition, it would be Skagit Valley defeating Big Bend 93-90 in a tight game. Skagit was the only host team to win their own tournament this weekend and would do it with wins over the Canadian team Capilano College and Portland. Skagit was lead by MVP Ammar Rehman in the championship game. In the earlier Sunday games, it was Portland over Peninsula 94-91 and Blue Mountain defeated Tacoma 83-73.
