Holiday Tournaments recap and All-Tourney teams

Lower Columbia Holiday Classic
LONGVIEW— In a star-studded line-up, future NWAC member North Idaho continued its dominance over the NWAC roughing up 2nd ranked Umpqua 81-50 in the Holiday Classic championship game. Tournament MVP Shelby Cloninger scored 26 to go along with 7 rebounds, 4 steals and 3 assists. NIC hands Umpqua its second loss of the year (both to NIC in tournament championships). Anna Mumm scored 18 points and had 7 rebounds.

Skagit Valley Holiday Tournament
MOUNT VERNON— Host team Skagit Valley would come up short in keeping the Holiday Tournament trophy in town with a championship loss to Mikayla Jones and the 6th ranked Bellevue team. In her MVP performance, Jones scored 24 points and added 6 rebounds and 4 assists. For Skagit, Emily Yost recorded a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Chemeketa Tournament
SALEM— In the final weekend of tournament play, Lane would keep their tournament record perfect cruising past Wenatchee Valley in the championship game by a score of 74-56. The top ranked Lady Titans claimed their 3rd tournament championship behind another MVP performance from Shelby Snook who scored 17 points. Jordan Kimbrough would add 18 points and 15 rebounds. For Wentachee, Lauren Johnson lead the way with 15 points and Drew Carlos scored 9 with 12 rebounds.

Clackamas Holiday Invitational
OREGON CITY— In a the only championship upset of the day, Edmonds would topple 3rd ranked Everett in the only NWAC hosted men's tournament at Clackamas by a score of 104-96. Among 3 players who scored 20+ points, Jerry Smallwood lead the Titans with 23. Both Phillip Maxie and Giovanni Williams scored 20 a piece off the bench for Edmonds. For Everett, it was Derek Brown Jr scoring 34 points to go with 11 rebounds.
