McGill Establishes New Career Rebounding Record
South Puget Sound's Savannah McGill didn't take long to establish a new mark in NWAC women's basketball last night in Longview, WA
The 6'1" sophomore forward collected the record breaking board to establish the new career rebounding record late in the first quarter and went on to grab a total of 18 to give her 798 total rebounds.
The Red Devils did their best to keep McGill in check as she was held to 18 rebounds - the lowest for McGill in the last five Clipper games. She had been averaging a astounding 25.3 rebounds over that stretch and is currently averaging 20.1 boards on the season.
One last personal feat for McGill? To break her own season record of 456 rebounds she set last season and, of course, to help lead the Clippers to another post season appearance.
McGill and the Clippers have seven games remaining on the regular season schedule. At 20.1 rpg she is projected to add another 148 rebounds for a total of 490 on the season.
McGill gears up for another defensive rebound laast night in Longview.
