North Idaho Menís Basketball moves five more players on to 4-year schools
The North Idaho College men’s basketball team announced that five additional members of the Cardinals program have signed to play at the next level.
Starting guard Adam Gotteti signed to play at Azusa Pacific University (California), an NCAA Division II program in the Pac-West Conference. Jordan Henderson, a 6-9 post, will play at Oregon Tech, an NAIA program in Klamath Falls, Oregon.† Freshman reserve guard Tyrus Hosley will play at Northwest Christian University in Eugene, OR. Both programs compete in the Cascade Collegiate Conference. The last unsigned member of the 2016-17 roster, sophomore Dylan Okoro, a 6’8 forward, just signed with NCAA Division II Virginia State University, a member of the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association.
Highly touted Cardinal signee Trevion Brown, from Lincoln High School in Tacoma, Washington, received an offer to play at NCAA Division I Coastal Carolina University in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
The group joins fellow Cardinals that moved on to NCAA programs in the Spring semester: Markus Golder- Valparaiso, Sam Dowd- Idaho State, Niko Bevens- Montana, and Zaequan Satterthwaite- Point Loma University.
The Cardinals finished last season with a record of 25-5, and the top ranking in the final NWAC polls, after winning the NWAC East Region title. With the current signings the Cardinals have moved 9 men’s basketball players onto NCAA Division I programs in the past two seasons.
