Kwantlen Polytechnic University inks Everett's Anna Work

Surrey, B.C. Canada -- The Kwantlen Eagles Women’s Basketball Team is pleased to announce the signing of Anna Work, a transfer point guard from Washington State. Work comes to the Eagles program after playing two years at Everett Community College in Everett, Washington. “She is very passionate about the game and brings toughness to our team while commanding her teammate's respect,” says Coach Dan Nayebzadeh. “She is very coachable and has a very high basketball IQ."

Work is described as a ‘natural leader’ who is dedicated not only to becoming a great basketball player but also achieving top results in the classroom. Her placement as a third-year point guard for the Eagles team will be key as the women’s squad must replace Taminder Dhaliwal (Surrey, BC), point guard and team captain, who completed her eligibility in the 2010-2011 season.
