Clark hires Al Aldridge as new women’s basketball coach

Aldridge Comes to Clark After 32 Years at Prairie

(Vancouver, WA) - Clark College has hired Al Aldridge as the new women’s basketball head coach, as announced today by Athletics Director Charles Guthrie. Aldridge joins the Penguin Nation after 32 years as the head girls basketball coach at Prairie High School.

“We are very excited to welcome Al Aldridge to the Penguin Nation,” said Guthrie. “His outstanding reputation in the community as a proven winner on and off the court, will enable the women’s basketball program to reach new heights.”

Under Aldridge’s leadership, the Prairie Falcons went 710-134, and had 27 consecutive winning seasons. The Falcons earned 16 consecutive league titles and 15 district titles in the past 16 years. Prairie went 27-1 this season and earned its sixth Class 3A State Title.

Aldridge replaces Nancy Boone, who guided Clark to a 21-8 record this year. Boone retired at the end of the season.
