Basketball Players of the WeekMen's Basketball Player of the Week
#21 Case Rada - Walla Walla
A 6'1 freshman transfer from Boise State, Case Rada racked up 64 points in two night's time, including 25 in an overtime loss to Gonzaga Club and 39 points in a 101-75 win over Mt. Hood. The guard is currently leading all scores among players with three or more games, and his 39 points on December 1st mark a scoring high so far this young season.
Women's Basketball Player of the Week
#3 Kate Patenaude - Wenatchee Valley
While Kate Patenaude's overall numbers aren't flashy (18th in assists, 23rd in steals), the 5'4 sophomore point guard has been steady, leading her team in both categories and was an essential piece in a pair of victories over Olympic and Everett. However, it was the game against Everett on Dec. 2 that won her player of the week. Patenaude finished with 10 points, 12 assists and nine rebounds, just about as close to a triple double as it is possible to get.
Nominator's comments: Kate handled full court pressure from Everett with great poise – if I have to choose 1 nominee Kate is my first choice.
