Coaches Outlook

The Cougars will begin the season with a young, talented, athletic team. This year's team has good size, but a lot of question marks. Nine new freshman will have to make the immediate and significant adjustment to the competitive level of NWAACC college basketball; some early growing pains are to be expected. The young Clackamas team may make a lot of mistakes, but they certainly promise to be entertaining to watch. Look for a promising freshman group to grow and mature and improve. And if they do, then look for the Cougars to compete again for Region and NWAACC championships. They will be led down the stretch by three sophomore lettermen: rugged wing E J Manley, all-region point guard Jeff Dorman, and NWAACC MVP Chehales Tapscott. Clackamas Community College will be attempting to qualify for its 10th consecutive NWAACC tournament.
