Message from Clackamas head coach Kathie Woods:
"I want to thank each and every one of you that have expressed their love and concern for Richelle. It means a lot to me and also to her family. I have communicated with them daily and continue to go see Richelle once a week. This Tuesday, Feb. 23, I am taking the Cougar team up to see her again. They are so excited and we are going to have a pizza party in her big new room. It will be fun for all. Have a great day and enjoy this nice weather!"
~~ Sincerely,
Coach Kathie

Update on Richelle’s Condition
Richelle continues to work hard on her rehab at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. She is putting in rehab about 6 hours a day, 6 days a week. She is learning how to take care of herself better. She can now brush her teeth and is starting to feed herself. Richelle is still paralyzed from the chest down but is starting to "feel" in her stomach area. She has reflexes in her lower body but it is still involuntary movement. She does very well in her wheel chair but is still battling periods of upset stomach and low blood pressure. She and the family has asked to please keep praying for her full recovery. Richelle knows this will take time and she is pressing on with perseverance and an incredible attitude. She is such a strong gal and knows what it takes to work hard. She appreciates all the cards and visits from her friends and family. Richelle always has a smile on her face. Her love of her Lord is her strength and she knows He loves her back. The targeted date for her to leave the hospital and return to her newly remodeled home in Eatonville is March 11! She will continue rehab at home until the family can decide what the next step is in her further rehab.
