South Puget Sound community College is recruiting for the position of Head Coach for Intercollegiate Men’s Basketball. To begin as soon as possible following the selection process; Required qualifications include experience coaching at the high school and/or college level; knowledge of the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges (NWAACC) rules and regulations; available to work evenings and weekends; ability to travel with team; valid first aid/CPR card; valid Washington state driver’s license. This position is reports to the Director of Athletics. This position is responsible to the Director of Athletics in the department of Student Retention and Development. This position will serve as head women’s basketball coach, reporting to the Director of Student Life. Responsibilities include: Provide administration, leadership and direction to conduct women’s intercollegiate basketball
program. Teach individual and team basketball skills and strategies, build teamwork, and develop and enforce
training rules. Monitor and support the academic performance and progress of student-athletes.Scout and recruit student-athletes who are qualified both academically and athletically. Establish and maintain positive relationships and effective communication with local area high
school basketball coaches and programs. Conduct intercollegiate program in accordance with NWAACC and college regulations.
