Spokane Women Win NWAACC Golf Championship

Bremerton, Wash - For the second consecutive year, the Spokane Sasquatch have won the women's NWAACC Golf Championship, ahead of Green River.

Spokane held an eight stroke lead after the first day which Green River almost nearly erased by the end of the second round.

Spokane won the title with their depth, each of their top three scorers (Alexa Bell, Alyssa Osterback and Darby Moberg) shot 160 for the tournament. The Gators were led Caral Martinson and Annie Viola who both shot 157 for the two day event.

Skagit Valley maintained their third place position after the first day ahead of Walla Walla (fourth) and Southwestern Oregon (fifth).

Walla Walla's Dona Dunovant was the individiual champion finishing with a 155.

Spokane head coach Christie Dalsanders was voted the women's NWAACC Coach of the Year.

Spokane's win marks their second consecutive title. Their eleventh overall since women's golf began in 1992.
