Softball Enters Day Three, Golf Gets Underway
The 2012 NWAACC spring championships are in full swing. The softball tournament begins its third day of action at 10:00 a.m. The final four teams are vying for their right to play in the NWAACC Championship game Monday morning at 11:00 a.m.
The winner bracket has Mt Hood and Lower Columbia facing off. The two teams split the games between them during the regular season. The winner of the LCC/Mt Hood game will earn a sport in the championship game, while the loser will have to play the winner of the Bellevue/Clackamas game.
In the other game at 10am, Bellevue and Clackamas in a loser out game. One of Bellevue's three losses during the regular season was against Clackamas on April 21. The winner plays for a spot in the championship game against the loser of the MHCC/LCC contest.
In Bremerton, the 2012 NWAACC Golf Championship tournament gets started at McCormick Woods Golf Course with tee times at 12:00 p.m. Both Spokane men's and women's teams are hoping to defend their 2011 titles. However, Walla Walla edged out Spokane in the men's regular season standings. The Spokane women finished third in regular season play behind Bellevue and Green River who finished first and second respectively.
