Robin graduated from Richland High School where she earned All-Big Nine honors in both basketball and volleyball. One of the best two-sport athletes in CCS school history, she played volleyball for Coach Irene Matlock and basketball for Coach Scott Foxley.

Denning’s outstanding play helped the basketball team to consecutive NWAACC championships and she was named to the All-Region Team both years.

After a sensational sophomore tournament, Denning was named to the NWAACC All-Tournament Team and was selected MVP. An outstanding rebounder and scorer, she was also named team MVP at the end of the championship season.

In addition, Robin led the Sasquatch volleyball team to the NWAACC tournament title in 1983-84, and was named to the All-NWAACC Volleyball Tournament team and selected as tournament MVP.

She transferred to the University of Idaho where she was an All-Conference volleyball player and team MVP for the Vandals. Robin was elected to the NWAACC Hall of Fame in 1992.
