'Roll of Honor' Member

Marion Pericin was inducted as an Honorary Member into the NWAC Hall of Fame in 1996. For over 12 years, he was the Director of National Sales for Red Lion Inns and was a great supporter of NWAC athletics.

He played collegiate basketball at Gonzaga before entering the military. After that, he was an assistant at Gonzaga, was coach and athletic director at Bellarmine Prep High School, and was the head coach at Portland State for seven seasons.

The Marion Pericin Award is given yearly at the Oregon Sports Hall of Fame banquet to a person who contributed to sports that was not a coach or athlete. Marion passed away in January of 1996 from brain cancer.
