1982 Softball Team

Pierce College
Class of 2010

The 1982 Raider softball team won the NWAACC championship and boasted one of the most talented group of athletes ever assembled at Pierce College. Of the team’s 13 tournament players, six earned All-Tournament Team honors. They were Teri Kampbell, Jeri Moceri, Julie Schlatter, Debbie Beckwith, Lisa Nordberg, and Tami Kampbell, who was also named tournament MVP. The team’s coach, Michele Johnson, was named Conference Coach of the Year.

In addition to their success in softball, eight players also played on the Raiders basketball team that earned a berth to the NWAACC tournament, and three played on the volleyball team that earned a place in the playoffs. The softball team was a member of the inaugural Pierce College Athletics Hall of Fame class, inducted in November 2009.
