NWAC HEADLINES

Soccer Coaches of the Year

The 2006 NWAACC Coaches of the Year for soccer were released today. Whatcom's Head Coach Brian Iblings was named the Men's Coach of the Year. Spokane's head Coach Jim Martinson was named the Women's Coach of the Year.

Both coaches won their first NWAACC Championship two weeks ago at Starfire Complex. Iblings guided the Orcas' to Whactom's first even championship in soccer in only the program's second year.

Martinson won Spokane's first championship with an overtime victory against Walla Walla.

Both coaches will be honored at the NWAACC's Annual Banquet which will be held in May 31, 2007 in Bellevue, WA.
