Grays Harbor alum Bryan Mcgriff named NAIA Division 2 Men's Basketball Player Of The Year

Former Choker Men's Basketball standout Bryan McGriff has earned All-American honors this past season for the Eastern Oregon Mountaineers. McGriff played one season for the Chokers before transferring to Eastern Oregon.

While at Grays Harbor he was 4th in scoring in the NWAC with 24.4 points per game and grabbed 8.5 rebounds a game. During his sophomore year at GHC he earned 1st-team Western Region honors.

According to Eastern Oregon Athletics, as a senior for the Mountaineers, McGriff finished 12th in the NAIA in points per game (21.6) and 15th in rebounds per game (9.4). He  scored in double figures in all but two, including six performances with 30 points or more. He also finished the year with 16 double-doubles.

McGriff helped lead the Mountaineers to a 2nd place finish in the Cascade Conference (24-9) and a berth to the National Tournament. He scored 62 points in Eastern's two games at the National Tournament.

Bryan was most recently chosen by the Court Side Newspaper as the Player of the Year in NAIA Division 2.

Grays Harbor staff and fans look forward to following his accomplishments as he heads oversees to play basketball.
