NWAACC Track and Field Athletes of the Week #2

Male Track Athlete of the Week
Philip Noble, Treasure Valley CC, Sophomore

Meet: NNU open
Event 800 Mark :1:56.1
Coaches' Comments: Great race, ran alone from the start to the end. Great athlete and student!

Male Field Athlete of the Week
Tyler Lindgren, Lane CC, Sophomore

Meet: Mt Hood Saints Open
Event Hammer Mark 172-06; Discus Mark 131-2

Coaches' Comments: Tyler is 2-0 on the year in the Hammer, having set the Lane school record a couple of weeks ago with a 187’ foot toss. He threw 172-06 in the Hammer at Mt Hood to win by more than 14 feet. Tyler also picked up a near NWAACC qualifier in the discus, by placing third with a 131’ toss

Another coach wrote “That is a great throw this early in cold weather.”

Another coach wrote, “Though there were quite a few good performances this meet, this mark stood out from the rest as it is a very lengthy throw this early in the season. I have not seen many other people in our conference this year throwing close to this.”

Female Track Athlete of the Week
Anaiah Rhodes, Mt. Hood CC, Sophomore

Meet: Mt Hood Saints Open
Event 100m Mark12.85; 200m Mark 26.79

Coaches' Comments: The times are decent for this part of the season but what has impressed me is her competitive nature. In all of her performances thus far, she has come in first in all of her heats.

Female Field Athlete of the Week
Rocksi Miller, Lane CC, Sophomore

Meet: Mt Hood Saints Open
Event SP Mark 38-07.75; Hammer Mark 120-00; Discus Mark 118-06

Coaches' Comments: Rocksi was in my mind the overall meet performer having come away with two first and one third place finish in the three events she competed in. She is coming off of a rupture Achilles injury from last season and has work extremely hard to get back to her pre-injury form. She also has a 3.61 GPA!
