Coaches Outlook

2010 has the potential to be one of the biggest in program history for the Edmonds Community College Mens Soccer team. With 7 players back from the 2009 playoff team, second year Head Coach Brandon Mitalas is excited to keep momentum going. \"We had a very good spring season. We were able to train hard spring and learn our system which will only benefit us this year.\" Many players from the 2009 squad are gone including leading scorer Thomas Sheets, who accepted a scholarship to play for Montana State University. \"Losing Thomas was tough, he was our leading scorer and probably our best athlete. But we have brought in a few guys that have the potential to take over that scoring burden, so we are very excited.\" Mitalas said. The core group of returning players is lead by goalkeeper Dorain Lair who missed much of last season with an injury. Along with Tim Aspinall, a vocal leader who plays on the outside and Tommy Ellis a defender from Jackson HS. Also returning from 2009 are PJ Mooney, Mario Gomez, Hamzeh Musleh-Fahmawi and Amandeep Singh.
