SoftballSoftball NewsThree Clackamas softball Players Sign with Concordia UniversityJune 27,2012 OREGON CITY, OR -- Three Cougars have signed to continue their academic and playing careers at Concordia University (OR) next season. "I am so excited for these girls. They helped lead us to a title this year and I can't wait to see what they will do at the next level" said head coach Jessica Buel. "They will be greatly missed at Clackamas. All three are exceptional athletes and people. I have really enjoyed coaching them. Sophomores Katie Aden (Tigard HS), Caitlyn Frasier (Lake Oswego HS) and McKenzie Marshall (Oregon City HS ) opted to stay close to home signing with Concordia University. Marshall was an NWAACC All-American, Southern Region Player of the Year and NWAACC Championship All-Tournament team selection. Marshall will be joined by 2012 1st team All-Southern Region selection and All-Tournament team selection Katie Aden along with Caitlyn Frasier, 2011 1st team All-Southern Region Selection. Both Aden and Frasier were team captains this season. The three sophomores helped lead the Cougars to a 2012 NWAACC Championship, a combined 61-21 record along with two 2nd place finishes in the Southern Region over the past two seasons. Aden, Frasier and Marshall will be reunited with former Cougars Ashley Suter and Mary Lugar who will be seniors next season. Concordia University is an NAIA member of the Cascade Collegiate Conference.
