Volleyball Conference Championship Qualifiers

As it is nearing the end of the season teams are beginning to qualify for the NWAACC Volleyball Conference Championship which will be held November 15th-18th in Mt. Hood, Oregon. In each of the four regions four teams will qualify for the tournament as shown in the bracket below.


For the Northern Region Bellevue and Olympic have already qualified with conference records of 9-0 and 8-1 respectively. Shoreline, Edmonds, Whatcom and Everett are still in the mix for 3rd and 4th place in the region.

The Eastern Region with a stunning region record of 10-0, Blue Mountain has clenched a first place qualifying position. Spokane and Walla Walla are looking strong to qualify both with 8-2 region records. For the last qualifying spot it three teams,Yakima Valley, Wenatchee Valley and Columbia Basin, are tied with a 4-6 record and it will be down to the wire!

In the Western Region it is going to be a close race. There is no team with a record that can currently qualify them for the conference tournament. The top five teams, Highline, Green River, Pierce, Tacoma and Clark (listed in order of rank), will be fighting for four qualifying spots.

Lastly, in the Southern Region Mt. Hood, with an undefeated region record of 7-0, and Linn- Benton with a recrod of 5-1 have both clenched a spot in the tournament. Umpqua, Chemeketa and Clackamas all have very close records and are looking to gain a spot into the tournament.

Be sure to keep an eye on all of these teams as they finish out regular season play and do not forget to make it to the NWAACC Volleyball Conference Championship November 15th-18th in Mt. Hood, Oregon.
