Clackamas Goes 2-1 at Home
January 6, 2007
Oregon City, Ore. - The Clackamas Community College Cougars held a four team dual meet competition on Saturday which featured Simon Fraser College (B.C.), Douglas College (B.C.), and Yakima Valley C.C. The Cougars went 2-1 on the day despite being overrun with the flu bug. A number of the wrestlers either wrestled with the flu or were out of competition due to illness. Despite being sick the Cougar wrestling team downed Douglas College (36-14) and Yakima Valley (32-15) with the only loss on the day coming at the hands of the grapplers from Simon Fraser University (30-15).
“Our guys wrestled very hard and overcame a tough situation to perform very well.” “It gives us a lot of confidence knowing that even when we are a little down we can still perform”, said Head Coach Josh Rhoden. view results
