Former Shoreline Phin’ Brown, Named WAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week

DENVER – Seattle U sophomore guard Terrell Brown has been named Western Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 18-24. This is his first-ever WAC Player of the Week honor.
The Seattle native averaged 20.5 points 6.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.0 steals per game to lead Seattle U to a 2-0 record last week. Brown, who has scored 20 or more points in five of the Redhawks’ last six games, poured in a game-high 21 points to go along with eight rebounds, three assists and two steals in a 69-64 win over Kansas City last Thursday. Two days later, he shot 9-of-13 (69.2 percent) from the field on his way to 20 points to go with four rebounds, four assists and two steals, in a 77-57 win over Chicago State. Brown’s performance helped give Seattle U its first back-to-back wins in WAC play this season.
Brown led the entire NWAC in 2017-18 with 30.0 points per game and also led the NWAC in steals with 3.2 per game. Terrell was on the First Team North Region Team, NWAC North Freshman of the Year and also on the NWAC North All Defensive Team.
