Portland CC hires Anthony Steward to skipper Women's Basketball

Coach Anthony Steward is a graduate of Jefferson High School. Steward,earned all state honors in track and basketball. He earned track and basketball scholarships to Umpqua Community College.
As a player, Steward lead Umpqua to division championships as well as earning NWAACC MVP honors. In 2014, Steward was inducted into the NWAC Hall of Fame.
Coach Steward, continued his playing days at Weber State University where he earned a B.S in Human Development, and has spent 25 years as a Juvenile Justice Counselor for Multnomah County.
Coach Steward has 8 years of high school coaching experience, 4 as the head coach of Parkrose High School. Steward, was the 2018-19 assistant women's coach at Clark Community College.
Said PCC athletic director Maura Stine, "Anthony is already out in the community actively recruiting future Panther athletes, and we look forward to the upward direction Coach Steward will take our program this next year."
