Dr. Mary Lou White |
Dr. Mary Lou WhiteClark College Dr. Mary Lou White was a Health and Physical Education instructor during her 12 year tenure at Clark College which ended June 1961. When she left Clark, she moved to San Luis Obispo, CA and coached volleyball, basketball, softball, track and fencing at Cal Poly. She was instrumental in the development of a national recognized Association of Intercollegiate Athletics for Women. Dr. White worked hard on the development of Title IX legislation, which has led to equal opportunity for women athletic participants. |
