Shirley GordonHighline College One of the founders of Highline Community College, she has served the college for 29 years as faculty member and President. Previously served as science teacher, university professor and college administrator. In 1981, she was selected by President Ronald Reagan as one of 18 members on the blue-ribbon panel, the National Commission on Excellence in Education. Was President of the Washington Association of Community College Presidents in 1983-84 and has been included in "Who's Who" every year since 1981. She has helped the campus and community recognize the importance and special contribution student athletes make to a two-year institution. |
