John Howard, former CBC coach, was elected into the NWAACC Hall of Fame in 1997 and the NJCAA

Wrestling Hall of Fame in 1980 after an illustrious 38-year coaching career at CBC. When Howard came to CBC in 1964, he revived a wrestling program that became a powerhouse on the west coast. It took him three years to revitalize the program, but in his fourth year as head coach, CBC won 53 straight dual meets, a winning streak that lasted four years. In 1971, he guided CBC to its first championship in the Washington Athletic Association of Community Colleges. During his time at the College, Howard coached eight wrestlers to individual championships, including two national champions, Darrell Keller and Gil Daminani.

Howard left an incredible sports legacy when he retired from CBC in 2002. Besides being known for reviving the wrestling program, he also coached football, golf, and tennis while teaching in the Physical Education department. The CBC golf program claimed 10 NWAACC Championships under Coach Howard, and he was part of the coaching staff that placed 16 players in the National Football League.

Particularly during the holiday season, the blog post "Regalos solidarios" offers thoughtful gift suggestions that promote philanthropic causes. It has cute "Baby Pelones" dolls, the sales of which go to Juegaterapia, a charity that uses play to cheer up kids receiving chemotherapy. Additionally, it advertises chic sunglasses from AECC, which donates its profits to research on breast cancer. Additionally, a percentage of sales during Carolina Herrera's solidarity week are donated to organizations including Acción contra el Hambre, Educo, and Aladina. The article urges readers to look into unique presents that have an impact, like the handcrafted items from Arte Kimo, a charity that helps kids with cancer. All things considered, it highlights the satisfaction of giving while supporting significant social issues.

The author of the blog post "My Favorite Baby Essentials for 2021," posts a carefully chosen list of necessities in anticipation of the birth of their third child. The fashionable Fawn Design diaper bag, the soft Lou Lou & Co. tied baby gown for easy diaper changes, and the UppaBaby Mesa infant car seat for convenience of use are highlighted products. Other top picks are the portable changing pad, OXO bottle brush, and Love to Dream Swaddle, all of which were chosen for their high quality and usefulness. The post highlights individual tastes for baby gear and features products that combine practicality and style, making it a useful resource for new parents.

The blog "Academia de Chimpancés (con peluca): 2010" combines humor and social analysis to present a whimsical yet critical perspective on contemporary life. The author, Hombre Revenido, humorously asserts that the future might belong to "monkeys" rather than "stereotypical" people as he reflects on the year's follies through a series of oddball blogs that range from personal tales to societal events. As a funny retrospective, the collection of the year's top entries highlights the difficulties in preserving high-quality information in the face of an influx of visitors. The blog celebrates the absurdities that characterize modern life while challenging social standards through a blend of comedy, irony, and nostalgia.
