Gene BatesWalla Walla Community College Helped begin the physical education and athletic programs at WWCC when the school opened in 1967. Was their first athletic director and head football coach and later helped coach the wrestling and track programs. After leaving Walla Walla in 1972, he went on to become defensive back coach at Colorado State University. Between 1974-88, he served as scout for the National Football League Scouting Combine. Currently a scout for the Washington Redskins. |
