Thornton PerryBellevue College T.P. has served various community college for 38 years, starting in 1973 while helping Ernie Woods with Bellevue's summer basketball league. T.P. continued service for the men's basketball program over the next 20 years, performing duties such as keeping score, timing, driving the team bus and helping manage tournaments. From 1975-79, he was the head coach for Bellevue's women's track and field and cross country teams, and continued as the field coach for all throwing events until track and field was dropped in the mid-1990's. He was also Bellevue's women's head basketball coach from 1977-81, the women's head cross country coach in 1981, and assistant cross country coach from 1994-2007. In 1983, T.P. was the first NWAACC Sports Information Director for Frank Basone. |
