Al Bauer |
Al BauerClark College Former Clark track athlete who is now a member of the Washington State Senate. Placed second in the two mile run in the 1948 WSJCAC championship meet. After serving four years in the military, he graduated from Clark (1954) and Portland State (1957) before earning a Masters degree in Education from the University of Oregon in 1958. Taught high school social studies for 22 years then served in the Washington State House of Representatives between 1971-80. Elected to the Senate in 1981 where he is currently serving as the chairman of the Higher Education Committee. |
