Fran SichtingSW Oregon Community College A member of SWOCC's men's track team in 1973 because the school had no women's squad. At the OCCAA championships, she was a finalist in the 100, 220 and long jump while running the anchor leg of the second place 440 relay team. Placed first in the 200 meters at the 1974 USA vs Russia dual meet held at Duke University. Also ran the third leg of the 400 meter relay which set an American record. AAU champion in 1973 setting an American record in the 220 while placing fourth in the 100 and fifth in the long jump. At the American Championships in 1974, she won the 200 meters. Currently married with three children in Coos Bay. |
