Jan SweetMt. Hood Community College Jan was always willing to go the "extra mile" to help any and all of the student-athletes, coaches or staff. The candy dish in her office was very popular with athlets and coaches. She was never too busy to stop and lend an ear to a student who needed to talk. She mentored many new coaches and ahtletic directors through the years to familiarize them with the correct Mt. Hood CC and NWAACC policies and procedures. Jan had a heart bigger than any of the champoinship ahtletes that passed through the halls of Mt. Hood. She was in the background at all championship events, tournaments and contests, helping with everything from driving vans, to printing programs, to selling tickets, to stocking the hospitality rooms, to sweeping the floor. There was no job Jan was unwilling to tackle. Jan was named the Mount Hood CC Classified Employee of the Year in 1993. |
