Reese played for the men's basketball team at Highline from 1980-82. He was named to the 1981 Region II First Team averaging 20.4 points per game. In 1982 he was named to the Region I and was second highest among all NWAACC scoring leaders. He helped the Thunderbirds to win the Region I regular season title with a 12-0 record. Highline placed third in the NWAACC Tournament that season. After Highline, Reese went on to play at Central Washington University where they were District champions in 1983 and 1984 and went to the national tournament in 1984. From 1986-87, Reese was an assistant coach at CWU and assistant coach at Thorp HS in 1988. From 1989-91 he played professionally in Australia. Currently, he is living in Richland, WA working for Hanford.
