Coach Greg Hawk retired from Linn-Benton Community College in June 2013 after 30 years with the college. He was both a full time faculty member of the Health & Human Performance Department as well as the Head Coach for both the Baseball and Women’s Basketball programs.
He was the Head Coach for Women’s Basketball for two seasons (1983-84 & 1986-87) and spent 30 years as the Head Baseball Coach (1984-2013). Hawk served as LBCC’s Athletic Director for 11 years and was an NWAACC Men’s Commissioner and Southern Region Chair.

His baseball coaching career earned him a 602 wins and 526 loses record. He was named NWAACC Baseball Coach of the Year eight times,
Rawlings National Coach of the Year twice (1988 & 1991) and has been selected to receive the ABCA Ethics in Coaching Award at the 2015 ABCA Convention. He coached six Southern Region Baseball titles and two NWAACC Baseball Conference titles (1988 & 1991).

His success with the women’s basketball program included two Southern Region league titles and being named the NWAACC Women’s Basketball Coach of the Year twice.

Coach Hawk coached two collegiate sports simultaneously for four seasons: 1983-84 & 1986-87. Women’s Basketball & Men’s Baseball.
