Fred Schnell has been a pillar of the Mt. Hood Community College (MHCC) athletic staff serving as a coach, athletic director, associate athletic director and on numerous NWAACC/NWAC committees over a 27- year period of time. His leadership and mentorship of our coaching staff has been present in the numerous championships and awards earned by our athletic program during this tenure.
As a member of the NWAACC/NWAC community Fred has given endless hours to help move our conference forward serving on multiple committees including serving as the chair of the men’s basketball committee for eight years. Although retired from athletics, Fred remains a full-time faculty member at MHCC and his presence within our department is always felt with his enthusiasm and encouragement of our athletic program. His involvement continues to be instrumental to our success.
