Phil HinrichsYakima Valley College Baseball player at YVC where he was the ace of the pitching staff in 1976 and 1977. Was 7-0 as a freshman and 12-1 with an ERA of 1.53 in his sophomore year when he struck out 96 batters in 94 innings pitched. Was YVCC's Athlete of the Year in 1977. Went on to play for former YVC coach Bobo Brayton at Washington State University. Played six seasons of minor league ball in San Francisco Giants organization. Currently works in the family agriculture business and does commentary during WSU baseball games for Fox Sports. |
