Elizabeth PriorYakima Valley College Was the first principal and lead administrator at Yakima Junior College when the school first opened in 1928. Helped begin the physical education and athletic programs for men and women at YJC. She played an integral role in the efforts to create the forming of the Washington State Junior College Athletic Conference in 1946. Because athletics were a priority with her, she helped find the funds to make YJC's athletic program work. Born in 1879,she passed away in 1950. |
