The Chemeketa men's basketball team posted a 33-0 record during the 1990-91 season. Known as the Chemeketa Chiefs at that time, the team averaged 99.2 points per game which was second in the NWAACC. Their defense only allowed 77.2 points per game.

Jimmy Weathersby led Chemeketa averaging 26.6 points per game and was named the Southern Region's Most Valuable Plyaer. Teammates Damon Ballard and Pat Strickland were named to the Southern Region's All-Star Second Team.

At the NWAACC tournament, Chemeketa's first game against Edmonds was a narrow two point victory. After that initial game, the Chiefs went on to defeat Columbia Basin by 18 and Lower Columbia in the title game by 29. Chemeketa's Pat Strickland was named the tournament's MVP and was joined on the All-Tournament team by Weathersby and Ballard.
