The 1988 Community Colleges of Spokane volleyball team was one of the best of all time as they won the NWAACC title and finished with a 54-2 season record.

The Sasquatch were coached by head coach Irene Matlock and assistant coach Kelly (Fitzgerald) Veede. They also won the Eastern Region championship and at the end of the season, Matlock was named the NWAACC Coach of the Year.

They had five players selected for the Eastern Region All-Star team including; Molly (Fitzgerald) Heggenes, Tina (Torgeson) Bertoldi, Shannon (Horn) Russell, Auda (Bishop) Grosz and Lori Ehmer. Bertoldi, Russell, Ehmer and Grosz were also selected for the NWAACC All-Tournament team with Grosz being named the Most Valuable Player in the tournament after the championship match.
