1985 & 1986 Volleyball TeamsHighline College These Thunderbird teams were the first two of three straight championships for HCC. The '85 team (who hosted the NWAACC Tournament), needed to come through the losers bracket with three straight wins, including the last two against defending champion Green River Community College to capture the title. Both squads won Northern Division league titles going 12-0 in 1985 and 11-1 in 1986. 1985 team members: Shannon Bean, Kelly Brehan, Cis Carzoli, Collen Clark, Dondi (Dekker) Sahlinger, Pam Gierke, Julie Mober, Stacy Pratt, Bonny Rempfer, Tana Roberts, Mon Vili, Assistant Coach John Wilson and Head Coach John Littleman. 1986 team members: Tracy Brown, Barb Buck, Jennifer Cortel, Celeste Gamache, Chris Keim, Darci (Hickman) Kleindi, Renee (Krebs) Knudsen, Gaylene (MacDonald) Page, Anne Murphy, Tana Roberts, Tina Washington, Manager Lee hall, Assistant Coach John Wilson and Head Coach John Littleman. |
