Treasure Valley Community College women’s basketball team enters the 2009-10 season coming off a year where the Chukars won 15 games and ended the season with a first ever trip to the NWAACC Championship Tournament in Kennewick, Washington. In the process the Chukars won 9 conference games, beating Spokane and Columbia Basin CC for the first time ever. The Chukars return a strong group of sophomores, including four returning starters from last year and a freshmen class that will definitely contribute to the success of the team. This years team strengths, will include experience, leadership, and hard work. The student/athletes know what it takes to be successful and they will set the example on and off the court. With an enthusiasm to run and play hard, TVCC basketball will be fun and exciting for the crowd to watch as the women athletes take on the new season. We are excited to begin a new season for the TVCC Women’s basketball program. The women’s program has been known for their hard work and the potential that this team has is immense. We are anticipating a fun and exciting season and look forward to the community joining us. The 2009-10 Chukars return six sophomores.
